How I work and what I bring to projects:
- Project Management (PMP-certified): I plan, organize, and track every step so projects stay on time, on budget, and meet clear goals.
- Service & UX Design: I apply and lead the design thinking process to understand and solve problems with services and digital experiences, ensuring that solutions truly serve real people.
- User Research: I combine quantitative research and qualitative user data to learn what they need, then turn those insights into practical improvements.
- Executive Coaching (ICF Level 1): I help individuals and teams overcome blocks, set clear goals, and move forward with confidence.
- Education & Learning Design: I create engaging experiential, learner-centered courses and workshops to help people quickly learn the design process and how to apply it to wicked problems.
- Improv for Facilitation: I use techniques from improv to keep facilitation lively, encourage new ideas, and help groups think on their feet.
My background includes leading project management, research, and design initiatives across diverse sectors such as BC Government ministries, First Nations communities in W̱SÁNEĆ and Cree territory, municipal leaders in the Capital Region, BC Hydro, Royal Roads University, and local non-profits. My work includes large-scale design sprints, youth wellness programs, and community innovation events. I also served as a user researcher for a Canadian news network reaching over 10 million daily readers and co-founded the Victoria Impact Design Collective to grow a thriving local service design community.
